Pictus would work, might not be as predatory, but I do hear they'll hunt if hungry enough.

Stick a few pim pictus in any average community tank , turn the light off and you will see predatory. :grinno:

I think i'll have pictus :D will they survive my convict pair if i put it in my 55 gallon?. There is 2 caves. they r about 3 feet from each other. In my 55 gallon there is also my 2 minnows and a turtle. Im pretty sure my turtle wont eat the pim becuz it is not interested in fish bigger than 2". I have a 3 inch tall bush that fish can hide under and in between the shrubs. \

yes I have a South American bumblebee cat he is 3 inch but will get 4inch he has eaten small danios and cherry barbs

Pictus will give you more bang for your buck. Satisfies me when i feel like wanting a tigrinus or RTC. And will be more active than any fish you've ever had, period.

Gulpers look awesome, just dont hand feed them or else they will stop hunting and get used to hand feeding. They stay less than 12" but can eat anything up to twice its size.

no gulpers. they eat my convict :(
