yeah thats what i thought, its weird cus the guy seems pretty experienced and has like breeding pairs of turtles and big cichlids n stuff, but then i havent seen his set-ups so i dont know how well they are housed, but yeah so he suggested the northern fire red painted as a cool turt to have and i may even be able to get one that is only little bigger than hatchling size, anyone have this turt and have adult pics, i could only find pics of the juvies but they look really cool and from what i read they can be pretty outgoing like RES but stay a little smaller

There is no such thing as a northern fire red painted, you have southern painteds, midland painteds, western painteds and eastern painteds. Specialy southern painteds are small turts, you may even be able to keep a pair in the tank you mentioned earlier. Here lots of info and no more gessing work: www.austinturtlepage.com

thanks yeah i dont know, thats what he said and i found a pic that was titled that but yeah couldnt find any other info on it so wasnt sure if that was the right name or not, n yeah i saw some of them were smaller so that would be cool ill have to see, and i clicked on that link and it just brought me to a page with several other links...
