smaller knife fish???

ay guy....... my syno hides my pleco hides ... im not worried about the fish hiding,
i like when fish hide it makes it that much better to see them once in awhile..thats while ill b adding leaf fish, cuz they hide or atleast look like they hide, and honestly i think those glass knives r hideous looking,
thats why i dont like them..and besides that i dunno how to sex them and the chance of getting a male only to grow out to 18 inches is not what i want, cuz then id have to sell him and i dont like doing that......

Male glass knife only grows to that size in the wild. In captivity they only max out 7-12 inches and they are very thin. Females will even grow smaller at 6 inches.

x2, just said that due to the fact that my LFS can get in male Glass Knives around 16" in.

If you start them from a small size I don't think you can grow them to max potential wild size. Doesn't matter how much you feed them with the super fantastic faboulous healthy diet and regular water change. Lol! Different species of fish don't grow the same.
