I think moke might be the smallest. I have not seen one larger than 30 cm. Other species I've all seen 30+ cm.

A captive bred albino or platinum senegal will only get 6-8 inches and a 40 breeder would be comfortable.

Albino sens grow fast and stay around 7 inches. Mokes grow very slowly, but the question isn’t what is the slowest growing bichir, so albino Senegal is the answer.

The smallest is probably a Super Short Body Albino Senegal. Have owned six of them for almost 3 years and they never passed 5 to 5.5 inches maximum.
