it should be at least 8'' if you feed them the amount they need. But if they are already stun like that for that long, feeding them will not make them grow again.
What is the amount they need? Goldfish will eat as much as you feed it. I would say it got what it needed to live 43 years. Unless you think not getting enough to eat is the path to longevity?
Nice rescue. I think that's normal size for some strains of goldfish. My 5 year old ranchu only grew 1" in 5 years. Most of the time it was him and 2 others In a 60gal, but now he's in a 42. I feed 3 times a day what they eat in 3 minutes = 1 tablespoon a day. He's 3" body wise. What type is that? Pic?
