Smallest wolf fish?

Does anyone know what the smallest type of wolf fish is? I'd like to get a species for my forty gallon aquarium. Tank mates aren't a problem, I'm prepared to dedicate the tank to the fish. I'd like a fish that can live in the forty gallon tank for it's entire life because I don't believe in buying a fish and saying "I'll buy another tank later".

i would buy a golden, rainbow or a red wolf fish for a 40 gallon...

Aren't rainbows and red/hi fin red the exact same? Also yes they don't grow to big and some say that these can live wwith other fish sometimes. I'm hopping to acquire one soon! Stupid air Canada strike

Erythrinus erythrinus(Rainbow Wolffish, Red Wolffish, Hi-fin Wolffish) grows to about 10".
Erythrinus sp.Peru grows to about 8".

Red wolves only have red so they are different from rainbows which have other colors as well
