lp, what do you mean "should?"

no way tyson would be ranked above him. tyson doesn't even rank top 30 goat. top 30 heavyweights maybe, but not goat, no way. and not ahead of smokin joe

I have been to is gym a few times and even met Bernard Hopkins there once.I drive by it pretty often now and it's a shame to see that it is now a mattress or a furniture store.

I agree but lots of uninformed fans might not.Frazier was great ,and underrated ,probably because he took such a beating from Forman ,also very underrated.

Frazier was great but Foreman was a beast. You all should have a look at his fight with Ron Lyle, both of them were dropping some heavy bombs on each other....If someone can pull up a youtube link clip of it and post it,feel free to do so.

never seen that fight before, holy cow. these two guys got cynder blocks attached to their wrists. you don't see these kinds of heavyweight wars anymore

here's a highlight of the fight

He was definitly a great fighter... i only met floyd patterson... but i read up on Joe Frazier.. Mohammed Ali looked very fragile in my paper when he attended the funeral.

Thanks Sumo.I have not seen the fight in a while but it is one of my favorites.I don't know if Lyle is still around or not but I'm amazed that Foreman didn't end up with some kind of lingering symptoms just from that fight.........Yeah Liz,sad to see Ali in that condition.

i envy you guys that got to watch heavy weight boxing at it's climax. this garbage i'm left with blows. i do not enjoy watching 140 pound men pound each other. it's just not the same, no matter how good of a boxer they are

Eddie I knew either you or Sumo was going to come through with a good clip.....I miss the good old days of ABC's Wide World of Sports..They showed good matches every weekend.

i enjoy watching espn's "30 for 30 films". i wish they would do more on boxing. they did one called "muhammad and larry" centering around the events of that fight. Good stuff. the "one night in vegas" one about tupac and mike tyson wasn't bad either but for only because i enjoyed the way it was filmed more then the content.

i'll post more clips from those vids tomorrow since my net is being too slow
