Snail eating cichlid

I have no fish in my 40 gallon tank. I have lots of little snails. I want to get just one fish to put in my tank that will also enjoy eating the snails. Is there a certain cichlid that eats snails? Thanks.

Good call. Also loaches can be good but for a single fish get a smallish fw puffer.

I wonder where I can get one of those. Al. I have for fish stores around me are pet smart and petco, and I have to travel two and a half hours one way to get there.

I will take a look! But I thought I read where cichlids of some kind will eat snails. Can't remember what kind, tho.

Ok. I looked at wet spot. Not thinking about spending that much money. Back to my original question... Is there a cichlid that anybody knows of that likes to eat snails?
