Snail type that can survive with a few monsters?

I have snails (mts) with my loaches, loaches eat them, but do not eradicate them. I don't think feeding loaches snails will accelerate their growth, it gives them something to snack on, they would still need a balanced diet for optimal growth. HarleyK's comments re snail population are spot on.

Thanks. Everything I read was about using loaches to clean up accidental snails in tank. Couldn't find anything about adding them as a diet staple.
