Yep, and I love them. the only issues i've had is them getting into my filters impeller, I've heard they can damage filters if left unchecked. But have yet to have this issue. They help maintain my systems in a natural way, provide a natural food source to some species, help maintain my planted systems substrate.

im not sure what they are but i have had them for a while. they just showed up in there. wasnt on purpose
but they love it in there i always see eggs and thousands of them everywhere
i also got some from my lfs the little pest ones but i hav eno algea so they stay out of my main tank
just got a sump so hopefully i will have a good colony in there soon

I've got three strains of bladder snails, a few of those invasive snails with fleshy "wings" that get pretty big, and an odd species of gyraulus snail. I also have some unidentified marine snails that have hitchhiked into my coldwater setup. They are the ones that live within the barnacles and have checkers on them.

I have a feeder tank that i have snails in which are used to feed my puffers...

what is the purpose of snails? like why do yall buy them?
