If myself and someone else on this forum had a financial interest in Seachem, we could go around and tell people that Seachem PhoGuard makes African cichlids more colorful. Do that on a couple of forums and Facebook, and guess what? Tons of people are suddenly buying Seachem PhoGuard.

True, people don't understand placebo, their African cichlids would grow and get a color and the will praise PhoGuard and start marketing and defending for you. Saying results speak for themselves.

The site hasn't been that terrible as current facebook groups. At least people were respectful. I have been threatened that companies can file lawsuit against me, lol.

You haven't looked hard enough. lol Many past discussions on food have been closed, locked, and some members banned over the arguments that took place. In that regards FB has got nothing on MFK. lol

Part of the issue back in the day was at one point I was also a distributor of a well known brand, even after a decade of no longer being associated with that brand/company some folks still can't let it go. The difference is that if you go back a decade before I was in any way associated with that brand, I was saying the exact same things, and a decade after shutting down that business, I am still doing same. I stand behind everything that I have ever posted on the subject, even if one goes back 30 yrs.
