Best way to get your parent ok with it, is to take her to your local petshop. You're really battling two aspects really, one being whether or not shes afraid of snakes, and two, if she will consider a big snake "dangerous".
Have her talk to a knowledgeable person at the shop, let her hear how easy it is to take care of - another worry is that she will have to clean up after it and do the work that - well lets face it - a lot of kids won't do.
Let her see you or the employee handle the snake you want, so she sees that it can be tame.
Show her you've taken the time to really research the proper care for it and that you're going to put the work into owning a pet that will live for probably a quarter to half of your lifetime.
If you're planning on a big snake 6-7"+ that will get that large if not larger, find a good a suitable way to handle said animal.
Again, come to it smartly and your parents will hopefullyrecognize it and seriously consider it.
