Alright, My LFS is going to order me in two snakeheads as soon as I decide exactly what I want. Two of the same I'm aiming for. However, I'm not very educated in snakeheads and the different species so I'm asking some help with ideas for which species to get. Dwarf snakeheads .. max size between 8-12" no bigger then foot long fully grown. List all the species that generally aren't rare and expensive that you can think of. Thanks guys!!

So after doing some reseearch on sizes I've narrowed it down to 6 snakeheads I'd be interested in. However, I don't know which are rare and hard to get. and which are generally more expensive so I was hoping you guys could help with that. Here's the list. answer those two questions and any other opinion on these six species .. thanks

Channa Bleheri - 6”
channa gachua - 7 - 12”
Channa asiatica - 14”
Channa stewartii - 11”
Channa melasoma - 12”
Channa pulchra - 11”

Hi,
If your serious about the Channa your gonna have lose the Oscars there's now way that's gonna work for long.

The O's will either eat (kill),Stress out ,(kill) or force the Channa to escape the tank (Kill)
How ever you look at it will end badly for the Snakeheads.

Also the Channa on your list are all sub tropical species.I.E they live in cold water for part of the year,O's Dont.

Sub Trop Channa kept @ tropical temps permenantly will die young.

Cheers.;)
