snakehead with a silver arowana?????

get a channa pleuro, they're usually pretty good with arowanas and i see them in monster community tanks all the time (well, the ones that aren't in the US anyways). Also pleuros get pretty nice electric blue colors so they look pretty good with arowanas. One more thing, they max out at 16" so a big silver will probably discourage an attack from the pleuro.

also, from what i hear, they are fairly docile for a snakehead.

channa pleuro, might be a safer bet then other snakehead species but will still devour anything that fit's in there mouth, Google it some cool youtube video’s of them, they are also VERY attractive, the down side is they are not as hearty as other species of snakehead, much more sensitive to water parameters, and do better in groups 5-6, The biggest issue is that’s A LOT of bioload added to a tank, one snakehead can make A LOT of mess and feed’s like mad, a school of them would be great to watch but you’ll need some HEAVY filtration

Depends on the species. Maruliodes and Pleurophthalma are considered the most compatible, whereas Marulia and Micropeltes are too big and aggressive. If you have/head for a Maruliodes, do try to examine if it really is a Maruliodes and not a Marulia as the two species look similar to a degree.

I temp. have a supposed agressive sh. asiatica who lives with an oscar, like i say this was only meant to be temporary but they have been together for quite a while now with no probs. i keep the temp. between 22 and 25, its a bit awkward but at moment needs must.
They are not interested in each other, but my oscar only cost £6.

Its always best to keep snakehead or especially channa micros smaller than aros or a bit similarity size in my opinion like this on this vid Link:

I had an snakehead that was still small died between a few days I didn’t even see it attack my gar and rtc since it was young and also the second one came and it still has the same problems with its weak organs when thriving out of water when our helpers was cleaning the pond and also based of my experience snakeheads are weak fish especially the channa micropeltes even they can stand up through themselves to other predatory fish and eat chunks of other fish especially ur aro or they are very ferocious predators as said on the search results I doubt it lol… do whatever you decide an channa or keep an channa micropeltes for your silver aro or community tank to see what it stands for thats all thanks.
