I am new when it comes to snakeHeads so I will ask you pros I was at a lfs in Ohio bout 4 days ago and seen a lil 4" fish and they had it as Red SnakHead. Of course when I ask them about it, they gimmie the look like "We carry fish"? They are not legal here and after reading in here about some of them they seem to be a fish I would like to have. Sorry I do not have any more info on the fish but if you can give any information maybe you can sway my choice to get it or not. They had it for $30.00-$40.00 I believe. Also I am going to be getting a 300 gallon tank which only would have a Jardini in it. I will try to get pix of it next time I go down there.

Snakeheads are amazing, if this really is a channa. When it grows up, the snakehead and the jardini would beat the **** out of each other.

I tell this to every one my red was nuts if you want one and have the space time and money (my one cost me £ in tank mates )get it but they grow large fast and will have the jardini for dinner. Did it look like this(small pic) this is a juvenile when they have the red mark they are charming little chaps when they loose it they get like this.(big pic)

No, I am sure it is still there... and if not trust me, they can get more. They always get Rare fish but never kno anything about them. All I know was it was maybe like a Tan color and was very active, and its face was sorta shaped like Pac-Man...lol. So that why I wanted to see if this is really what it is and see bout its size and temper I am gonna go back down there and see if they got it.

This is a Channa striata(juvenile) or Common Snakehead this fish ends up a very big boy. get a pic and lets have a look.

go buy him and tell no one! I think you are going to buy a red pike yeah thats it!

get it if you want a solitary fish tank....it will seek and destroy everything!
