Snakes are good at three things...

I currently have a wild caught DeKays Snake loose in my house. Me and brooklynboy tore my room apart from the ground up to no avail last week. It's a cold weather Snake so I cant just expect to find her in a warm area. I'm hoping she'll just eventually turn up somewhere...

Over the course of 10 years we have had one ball python escape, 1 adult sand boa, 10 baby sand boas (goddamn lids that don't lock) and 1 adult Brazilian rainbow boa who woke me up by sliding into my bathroom, thankfully ignoring the fish tank, and knocking everything else down to the tiled floor.

Oh, did I mention she's blind in one eye, super fast, and I got to hold her for several hours because her cage couldn't hold her.

I had a 5 ft. boa get out one time. Had to cut the cloth off the back of the couch to get him uncoiled off the couch coils. Luckily I lived alone at the time so I didn't have to explain myself. :)

Lol I tell myself it would be interesting to have a snake then I read these posts and then I tell myself to turn around and run the hell away, although I'm thinking of doing a terrarium with a few long tailed and whip tail lizards and a water part with frogs and tiger barbs

I would much prefer a loose snake to a loose lizard. The snakes I have are more laid back and chill and the only lizard I've ever had that couldn't outrun me is our lazy bluetongue skink Jackie.

My ball python escaped a few weeks ago. I found him the same day (fortunately), wrapped around the heating unit in my condo. Baited him out with a thawed mouse. Now he has a new enclosure with a lid he can't escape through.

That it very true they are fast little buggers for having such tiny legs.
