Snakes in the yard!

I would love to see a garter or a ringneck but they don't seem to exist in this area.

Funny how the people that are terrified of snakes always finds them. A friend and I took 2 jet skis to the river, he was ball deep in the water holding the skis as I pulled away in the truck. When I walked down the ramp he was dancing away with the skis as a 5' king snake came swimming up between the skis. Funny sh t I tell you, it's one thing to see a snake in land but when you're ball deep in the water its a different story. At least that was his story.

Hah!....and that's the funny part,the guy is Cambodian.One day he was out in his yard when I found a nice sized brown snake under some leaves that I was cleaning up and when I called out to show it to him he backed away and yelled at me to kill it.I just tossed it aside and it slithered underneath my porch.He told me he was scared of all snakes as he went into his house lol.

i used to find eastern worm snakes in tree bark that was rotting in large numbers at my old country house in NY

I have never heard of that species.
