What snakes can you think of that can have a lengths between 4-10 feet as adults, fully grown. For pet keeping.

So far I know of Ball python, Corn, Milk, King, Rattle; snakes. that are easy for me to get a hold of.

Thanks in advance.
No care advice needed just want a list of snakes in pet trade that stay under ten feet.

There are soooooo many...

Green Tree Pythons...
Emerald Tree Boas...
Carpet Pythons...
Red Tail Boas... note: locale/subspecies makes a difference in several ways...
Blood Pythons...

This list also covers a fairly wide range of levels of care...

Ball Pythons are the most common "smaller" constrictor, but they are low activity nocturnal creatures so don't expect much out of them...

Carpet Pythons get a little longer but are thinner and more active. They have a common reputation as being nippy as youngsters but typical hobbyists report they tame up quick with regular handling and are easily kept tame as adults.

The Emeralds and Greens are spectacular looking creatures but are high maintenance, or at least need very specific requirements. The Boas get bigger and have very nasty teeth. Both species are more commonly nippy than most other such constrictors.

I've decided to get a constrictor in the up coming months and have up a 10' max on my considerations. This is essentially the list I am debating on...

Indigo snake...

thanks guys, no on the indigo unless i come up on captive breed one, wild populations seem to be to deminished as it is, but very pretty snake.

Lots of snakes between 4-10', what type of snake are you looking for?

Carpet and blood pythons both fit that bill (coastal carpets might get a bit over 10' but other carpet pythons won't get that large)

Also black or texas rat snakes are cool, not hard find in the trade.

As said before, Emerald Tree Boas and Green Tree Pythons are spectacular but are kinda high maintenance, they need high humidity and are arboreal.

bulls snakes, pine snakes, gopher snakes, spilotes. There are a bunch of snakes between 4-10ft. Anything you are looking for in paticular: activity, color, price, cage size, temp, humidity. Lots of dactors and many species to choose from.

How about 4-10 feet in length, easy to aquire healthy cheap food for it, easy to find in pet trade, not to exspensive, housed in an enclosure that is 3 feet wide/deep, 3 feet tall or long and 5 to 6 feet long or tall at max, low to moderate humidity levels needed, not to agrresive, not to much of a couch potatoe, wont mind being picked up to clean cage. high end temp range below 110f, desert, forest, or burrower,or arboreal; black and white coloration, or black coloration or red and black coloration, brown coloration, white coloration. also not to skidish.

Thanks for the help.

Black and white northen pine snake sounds like a good choice. You should look into them.. The get aout six feet, can be housed in a 4ftx2ft enclosure, tame pretty easy, active, about $50-$100, temp gradient between 80-95, and need low to moderate humidity.
