Snapping turtle battle scars.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i had a turtle stuck my hand once that was cool until it started to chew.

I saw a picture on fatfrogs forum, of this kid who was asking how to get his pacman off of his finger. Everyone thought he was joking, until he posted a couple pictures. The pacman had grabbed his finger, and was just hanging on, lol.

Snapper battle scars? I far as I would think about a battle scar with a Snapper would be at least one or two fingers missing.....

Good I dont have such a scar.

Good you mentioned this.

I know a tactic to make them lose you if you got overconfident/careless and finally your snapper gets you.

If the snapper were big and gets your fingers, you woundn't have any problem to make it release you for your fingers would remain in its jaws and the rest of your hand would be free!!!.

But if we are talking about a snapper that juts dont have the strengh to cut off some pice of you but it is holding you and dont loose, Fast get some alcohol, could be even wiskey of tequila and as carefuly possible as you could in the middle of your pain, pour some little amount over the turtle's face and mouth and it'd let you free.....

Cheers.

Yup, any reptile for that matter. That's what we use for snakes.

Been bitten quite a few times by turts:screwy: mostly sliders and softshells, not funny:grinno: but happly didnt leave no scar

I got nailed by Bowser, our tame 6-incher at the nature center I work at. I was feeding all the turtles for the kids to watch, and I was being stupid and not watching the turtles when he comes up and gets the whole end of my finger in his mouth. The pressure was harder than I expected, but it didnt bleed. Normally he's a big puppy dog out of water and has never attempted to bite any of the hundreds of people that have handled him. Unfortunately he bit off a stinkpots eye and kept showing his privates in front of little kids so we had to put him back in the pond were we caught him... Luckily its only a minutes walk away and we still see him pop up from time to time.
