My Wife's exact words: "It's only money"

Thursday Snappy goes to the doctor. The only vet that has the equipment (endoscope with extractor) and works on exotics is a two hour drive, but he seemed pretty confident of success.

I will pass the hat at school (Snappy is Silver Crest School's mascot) and maybe the vet will cut us a deal when he sees the situation. Anyways, I've got a credit card, so it is going to happen.

Right now Snappy is in the bathtub of our second bathroom. I've got him in a few inches of water with the lights out, it seems to keep him calm.

I will keep everyone updated!

Oh man, I'm really sorry. This is going to be a hard decision for you.
You may have helped. My wife read your post and asked what decision you were talking about. :)

That's a shame... How did it come to eat it in the first place out of interest. You can't put a price on pets sometimes eh...

Sorry but i'm the person who when a ultra sound pic gets passed around I can't see the baby... in the x-ray is it the bit thats almost exactly in the middle of the picture going at 90 degrees from the turtle?

Lol, well I'm glad I could help! I hope the guy makes a speedy recovery. That's a great thing you're doing for him, not many people consider spending that kind of money on a pet that isn't "warm and fuzzy". Good for you!

The tubing was split down the side covering the electrical cord of a powerhead. The Eheim canister filter on his tank finally gave out (Eheim 2017, 25 years of service) and so I was temporarily hanging a powerhead in the tank to keep things from getting too funky until the new filter arrives.
Long story, but anyways he pulled it off and ate it...

Yes, that is the tube smack dab in the middle. It is sitting sideways in his stomach.

The things animals eat! I can't believe how big that tube is. Turtles do have the ability to taste things, I wonder why he decided that the tubing was something delicious to eat?

Its delightful chewy texture?

fair play that's a big piece of pipe, I thought that might be it, but then at the back of my mind was thinking... surely not!
