Snow Gar temptations

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you for the kind words. I am in a similar boat atm. I’m not able to upgrade my system till next year or so. This limits me as to what I can buy in regards to stock. If I get a killer deal, that might change things for me. A friend of mine just (rescued) a green aro and it has me all intrigued. It looks really neat in pics and I am hoping to go visit some time this week. Lol

Well I was pretty close with my estimates: The 26" Snow Gar is 65,000 Thb (~US$2,080), though I'd bet it could be negotiated down to about $1,800. He just sold out of the Parrots but he'll soon be getting in another 100 pieces of the red & white "Santa" Parrots as they're calling them, which are selling for 2,500 Thb ($80).

Santa parrots, go figure. Thanks for the info amigo!

Was in a hurry as I had to get to a meeting but stopped off at Chatuchak aquarium market for about an hour last week, wanted to see this beauty, who's gotten even bigger/thicker. Besides looking awesome it was surprisingly interactive, if not personable. Not sure if it was begging me to take it home or begging for food, but for sure it's one of the 'cuter' monster fish imo (along with Flagtails).

I think that snow gar would be calling out to me as well, such a beautiful specimen. Thanks for the vid, greatly appreciated! I always love seeing what's available in Bangkok.

They are popular in Asia. I took pic of these in one Taipei fish street store. They look like dolphin to me, price in the $1000s.
