So 180 or 220g???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My honest opinion... a 180g is good for housing arowana and give or take 3-4 cichild fish about 5/8" range

AND THATS ALREADY OVER DOING IT!

I'm having my eye on several 180g tanks i konw around my area.. and I'm thinking of housing 2 Arow in the future with Jack Dempsey and maybe one Flowerhorn..

But eventually fish will get to big and there will be aggression....
If your planning on getting something like African cichlid fish.. then 180 is fine.. but 220g would be nice for bigger fish..

opps my bad....yea 72x24. Want to have opinions from a economical standpoint...Of course i want more gallons!!! but is 6 inch more height worth the extra money in your eye? Would be for dats, polys, a flagtail.

In that case just get the 180

the extra height is worth it.

I have the 150 (72x18x29 tall) and it looks so much nicer than normal 24" tall tanks.

the extra height on the 6 feet of length changes the viewing proportions and makes the tank look way nicer - not so thin and elongated.

go for the 220. it has a much nicer viewing area than the 180, in addition to the extra water volume.

you will be glad you did.,

The money thing is really up to you. If you have the money, always go big. If the difference between your children eating or not is getting the 180 instead of the 220... then still get the 220. Who really likes children anyway?

Seriously though. It's up to you, we simply don't know your situation.

220!!!!!!
