I must be missing something. Are doorways more wide at the top?

I am assuming that the reason he can't get it in the door isn't because the door is too narrow, that's ludicrous. It seems to me that he can't make it into the room because of a turn he needs to make and the length of the tank (7'-0"). Standing it on end solves that.

Ouch, i went through a similar problem, except it wasn't my parents or my front door that caused the problem, but the lift at my place, since if it didn't fit in the lift i would have had to rent a crane and remove the windows to my apartment and lift the tank up 7 Floors...

Either way, best of luck with it... as i'm sure with a bit of tweaking you should be able to get it to fit through your door???

My doors are about 6.ft Im only 15 and this tank ways a ton the door must be atleast 2ft wide so i dont understand, my room is long enough but meh. I just think my parents dont want me to have it :(

Put the tank in your backyard and grow some plants in it.

Give it a few months and maybe parents will change their mind.

As a side not, I was laughing on how many people got it wrong as I was reading through the posts. Even I knew, it wasn't that he couldn't get it in, it was his parents saying NO!

Good luck man! :headbang2

That's the kind of thing you really have to talk with your parents about getting. I'm shocked you just went out and got it thinking it was all good. Even with roommate or loved ones you really need to run things like 7 foot long aquariums by them.

If my teenage daughter came home with some huge tanks with out asking I would be pissed. Yet I would work out a deal. Like I got the big tank and she can put the small one in the room but will have to do all the dishes for a year.

Silly teenage boys. I'm sure you and your parents will think of something.
