I agree with Coues. Stand the tank on end, tip the top so it can clear the top of the door and begin to pull it into your room. Then as you continue to pull it into your room, keeping the top elevated, bring the end that is on the floor through the door. Once you have the tank past the door tip the tank back up. Once this is completed you should have it in your room. Once it's in your room, you should be able to manuever it where you want it placed for setting up.
If you feel you can not do it by yourself, have one of your mates give a hand. Or possibly your Da. When you attempt to bring it through the door, you may want to place a towel or small blanket on the floor to ease the motion of sliding the tank through the doorway, or use a dolly as was suggested twice, earlier in this thread. IMO, though, I would use a thick bath towel. It reduces the chance of scaring the trim which might occur when bringing it in on a dolly or not using a bath towel when pulling the tank across the floor through the door way.
I wish you much luck on this challenge of yours. It would be sad if you had to sell your tank. God save the Queen!
