I used to be cool...then I grew a brain.....LOL
I did not realize you were a comedian.:ROFL:In a way this is true because I do not know of any smart book worms or point dexter on that TV that is consider cool in the public eyes.

To that guy that wants to buy an instant monster, you could get end up with a fat pacu from the market that will not do anything but poop in your tank to create a weekend chore for you to vacuum it out. You could buy a medium size fish at a LFS and power feed. Don't be a POSER like the rest of the youtube guys!

There is a Seafood market here in El Monte that stock live fish. I'm sure with a $5 tip those guys would let you take it live. Are you going this route to save money? Another option is go to the Santa Fe Spring damn and offer $20 for a freshwater bass when you see someone make a catch. Since you're from OC, there has to be a few markets in Westminster area that carry big fish. Is there a specific fish you're looking for?

Preferably a big eel.
Ive heard asian markets carry them...
Not doing it to save money. Alot of the stuff in markets is hard if not impossible to find in lfs....

I have yet to see a live fresh water eel in the market myself. If you could find one you would be the first Socal members on this forum to buy a live eel from the market.

oh..
well, other than tilapia and channel cats, what else do markets get in?
