rooms coming along. doing the air system this week. and moving tanks back in. still need to put the new door in and drywall 1 wall. temps are already becoming more stable. tonight were in the 40s and room is in the 60s were before it would be the same temp as outside. finish 1 more section and add my heater and i should be good for winters. no more heating bills of 400+ id love to see my bill go below 150! room to date has cost me 300 to build including air pump, excluding plumbing for it though and still need two more rolls of insulation 3 peices of drywall 10 2x4s and a framed door.
you need to seal every seam and vapour barrior everything or else that batt insolation will damp out (hello mold) quickly if the room has high moisture levels.
im using a dehumid and exhaust fan as well. its gonna be brutal in there summertime! i dont want mold. thanks for mentioning it. its def a concern of mine.
ive been moving tanks and fish around. doesnt look like ive done anything but i added a 5 foot tank on the back wall. it has my rtm pair in it. there already showing signs of baby makin lol. i plan on building a shelf over it and put 2 55 gals on it. i just installed the 6 speaker surround sound cause ya gots to have tunes. tonight i started tearing down the old shelves that were in there so i can build bigger stands that hold more tanks. i took a few shots with my cell phone. this week ill be doing more. so much going on with the tanks inside my house, gotta stay on top of this. oh yeah im buying the framed door fri so i can finaly seal off the room. should help with overall temps. sorry for delays, ill keep everybody posted.
