Id go with anything parachromis....ever kept RTMotos, or freddy's...look pretty sweet in a tank

I have never really kept any Parachromis, i have had a Jag juvi (which i sold and have the chance to get back for £3) and the lfs has Dovii's but never seen any of the others in real life.

England is behind the times as far as fishkeeping goes lol.

I really really want a nice either red (orange) and white or black and red Midas/Red Devil but only ever seen one in 15 years and they have him at the lfs right now but its not for sale

not really behind the times, you just need to find the good shops. depending where in england you are there are a few decent stores. if you get a good shop then they will order stuff in for you, there are also online stores that deliver fish. PM me if you want a list of them.
its also worth keeping an eye out for an aquarist society near you. breeders of the wierd and rarer stuff usually frequent those.

I would try and get a breeding pair of jags. You could also put an ornate bichir in the tank. Very pretty fish.
