I got him this morning. As he arrived here, he was very pale and shy. I put him in the tank and he did hide. Now as i came back from school, he is still shy ha ha but has beautiful colors. I will make some pics later.

It turned out that he has average size and is not much bigger than my senegals. He is like 20cm long and the senegals like 10-15cm. What you think, can i put them together in one tank?

For now should be OK, but remember Ornates get a lot bigger, very quickly.
They are well known to be quite aggressive, and have been known to try eat large Senegals...

...Be warned!

ok so i let it be that way it is now. But what tank mates can you advise? Snakeheads for example?

Ha ha so it turned out, he is a very curious little guy. As i came with my camera to the tank at the glass, he did leave his hideout and came to the glass, to check out whats going on.

Here please look and tell me what you think about him:

He also did already eat 2 worms that i catched for him.

His eyes look weird... But a cute ornate nevertheless

3rd picture, when he is staring right at you. Kind of reminds me of a frog :)

not sure, never keep snakeheads b4

All I know is that Snakeheads kill for fun unless they're hungry.
