So i got my ornate today

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bichirs are very ground orientated fish. What i want is something that uses the free space above that. Arowanas are beautiful but to big i guess.

Gars are nice but get extremly big. Over 2 meters and i thought they prefer colder water

bla bla bla

I'm pretty sure this bit of rudeness was not down to lost in translation, and you have been the same in other threads,if you don't want to listen to our advice don't bother asking and do as you like,eg not cycling your tank.
Anyway, aros go well with bichirs and so do gars,an RTG like mine will max out below 30" and less than that for probably all gar species other than gators,if you want mid swimming fish, tinfoils work very well and never stop moving.
Also datnoids are a good option too.
Hope this helps you karsten,as that's what we all try to do on here.

Steve

I could get spotted gars and cuban gars, what can you advice then?

The shop here has Atractosteus tristoechus, that are 10-12cm big for 49 € and
Lepisosteus oculatus that are 10cm as well for 20 €. So what you say? Which fits better?

Get both if you will have the room for them as adults, have a look in the gar forum for lots more info and pics, they will help you decide too.

Definately go Cuban mate!

doesn't matter, they ain't really schooling fish.

If you have the tank space and dedicated to do huge water change, go 2
