What a FU#$ing Disaster. The pump I bought is no good keeps going into thermal overload. Pump is drawing 30% more current then spec for some reason now it shuts off and turns on every 5 minutes or so.
Just bought a reeflo tiger shark and paid for 2 day shipping
Well I put my old reeflo on. Only getting about 1500 gph if that but that is better than nothing. Love how quiet it is now at the tank. Now I just need to clear the water up with some carbon but next month I am going to get a bead filter and take the carbon out.

They are so expensive. I can do a bead filter that will catch 50% of 5 micron particular and 100% 10 and up. Also it is reusable and for my 1000 gallons it is only about $450 with media and everything. I looked in to them before was just to much money.
What a different with nothing under the tank. The only think I need to do is run the emergency drain, take the spray bar out that I have and make a new one, put the new pump in, move the algae scrubber and carbon reactors in to the final place and finalize the wiring.
It was well worth all that work It is so quiet now in my living Room And maintenance just became so much easier too!
