Nope, not really. Even the smallest sharks in need space.


And the pet store term "zebra shark" is a bad one. Zebra sharks get well over 12 feet long.

Yup. 14 months and counting... And think ~$5K for one.

I'm assuming the LFS meant an indonesian bamboo shark, which would be ok in a 240 gallon tank (I believe they're a small species). They're readily available for under $150.
 
Any shark that grows to about 24-28 inches in length - can not be kept in a 90-100 gallon tank for life.

Even small benthic sharks - need some room to move around in. A small benthic shark that is 24 inches long - should have an area of at least 24 sq. ft. and a volume of at least 360 gallons. More room would actually be even better.
