i tried discus and had a large mix of african peacocks/malawi cichlids she didn't like them that much. she liked my TSNs, RTC and RTCxTSN though:screwy: i just don't understand how she works yet. like some oddball fish, but not others.

try sitting down with her on the computer going through "fish that interest you" and you want her thoughts,

In reality, these are fish you think she will like, that you pretend to like haha

Maybe you will get lucky and find a fish she likes.

feed him, he seems a little skinny to me maybe just me though nice buy

Great looking Gar. I'm jealous!

Maybe you might be able to persuade your wife to let you start a savings account for your fish hobby. If you put say 10% of your take home earnings into it each payday. Maybe then she wouldn't be so hard on you when you need to purchase something for your fish. Discuss it with her and hopefully she won't loose her patience with you. It takes patience and dilligence to do this with one's earnings.

Maybe doing something in return for your wife which she's been asking for you to do, may help ease her tensions about your fish hobby, too.

But these are just my thoughts of the issue. I hope it helps.

Very nice fish, im sure alot ppl here have the same problem that you have, Women that like fish are a special breed and are very rare to find. I have the same problem cant go to the shop with out coming home with fish, and then i get the speech ' You spend all your money on fish they are all you seem to care abt'

Goodluck

Be Glad you don't have the opposite problem.. I work at a LFS and my Husband is now addicted to my hobby... so OUR hobby gets us into some tight situations on occasion... we ran out to get some bloodworms for the eels since we where out of them... 4$ for a small pack... ended up dropping 20$... There goes his McDonalds snacks for the week and my starbucks.

I can work all week and not bring anything home... but put us in a LFS together... and our Bank account starts crying for mercy.

The Gar has very nice markings. I suggest takeing her out for a nice dinner after bringing home another 1 or 2 :D women like "couple time" particularly if it involves good food and a reason to look pretty. or at leats thats what I'm told normal women are like..

i wish she was into the hobby cause then i would have a good reason to take a lunch from home to cut back on the m'cds. i'll try the dinner thing, but you were saying that works for normal women, so it will be a long shot with her.
