When they are free swimming they should be able to eat BBS.

Cheers mate, I syphoned 75% of them out tonight, left a few int he main tank partly to see what happens but partly cos they were so spread out it would ave taken forever haha!
When you say free swimming... at the moment they are just wiggling around like crazy... moving around the tank, but I wouldnt say swimming as much as wriggling... so wait a few more days yes?

Thanks
Sam

Resist the temptation to feed too early. Wait until the fry have risen off the bottom "en masse" (not just a few) and are swimming in a stable manner (not bobbing up and down or sinking back to the bottom). Their yolk sacs should be pretty much totally absorbed by that time. I usually start feeding anywhere from 6-12 hours after they begin truly free swimming. Feed your live baby brine shrimp carefully (not too much) at first until they have figured out that they are food items. Once they are clearly feeding on them, then they're "on their way". Good luck.

siphon em out

Great idea! I usually try not to use my siphon when I have fry in the tank (as to not accidentally remove the fry). But in this case...it seems like the perfect solution.:)

To OP...congratulations on the spawning! Hopefully you get lots & lots of fry. You may even be able to make some nice money selling them to your LFS!:)
