No need to worry about snail shells, rays have pretty powerful teeth as you'll learn someday if you decide to handfeed yours. My male motoro has learnt that my fingers = food, regardless of if there is anything at all in my hand he comes up and bite me when I leave my hand unattended in the bottom of his tank. Anyway, powerful teeth, to crush invertebrates shells like shrimps or snails, it's fine, if anything you'll probbly find yourself lacking in snails after a while.

Lol. I hear your fingers are a goodbye source of low fat protein. No snails in the tank, just shells left over from the botia pack. Will pick some more snails up next time there is an auction so I can have extra snacks.
Eating pellets like a champ
I’m liking the outer ring of smaller spots, will be interesting how they turn out as he gets older.
He’s learning how to play in the sand. Blowing it around wherever he goes. Funny the one spot in the tank with a bunch of poo is where he decides to bury himself.
Had to pull the pleco last night before bed. It was chasing him around like a banshee. The botias seem to be ok with him and he doesn’t seem to mind them.
Nice, I wish mine would bother to look at pellets, plecos can pose a danger to rays, I also heard a lot about rays eating them if they're too small, which makes me feel not very good about putting some of the bristlenoses I've in an angelfish tank up o the pool, they're crapping a lot in the angels tank, but I'm not taking a risk on choking rays, guess I'll just figure something out for them.
I don't know whats there about the outer rings, but they captivate me as well, the bunch of very tiny ocelli just looks nice I guess.

Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't, need to observe, If you don't have problems with algae right now I wouldn't worry. BNs most of the times work for small rays, they're the most peaceful pleco I've ever had, as yours is a pup it should work. Big plecos I've seen as safe with rays are the Royal pleco and the L095.
Give it time, my wc would constantly burrow for up to 2-3 weeks before they adapted well enough to stay out most of the time, the ones in the big pool are shameless now, they've been with me for a few months now, the ones in qt have begun to stop hiding now that they're eating well.
If it's eating and the body is not showing anything to be worried about, then there's nothing to be worried about. (Ofc that's considering you have OK water).
I think it might be a bit intimidated from the other fish, I always try to acclimate new rays here alone when possible, the latest wc (smallest ray with me overall) I got had to acclimate with another alredy acclimated wc (biggest ray with me overall) in the qt, and she seemed to take longer because of it.
