when my tank was heavy on bio load i did 3x 50% a week... you cant change too much IMO... your best bet might be to add a drip system
its in my living room right now so no drip for now. what do you think i should do nic. what would you do for water changes in my tank
alot of people never check nitrate. i learned the hard way a long time ago. even though i was doing weekly waterchanges, my nitrate kept rising and rising.. next thing i knew, all my rays got sick from too much nitrate.
i would start with 15 to 25% every other day, and see how ur nitrate looks... IMO

2 x 50% a week if it were me.... say monday and friday... i dont watch or check my params i just do water changes... more changes i do happier my fish are... keeps it real nice and simple..
thank you all for our help. i think i will try the twice a week 50%. i like having set days to do the changes. i also will be putting a order in for some more rays with a friend i have here in town. they will be coming from columbia and i saw marbles and flowers on the list. so if there is anyone who wants to join in let me know. i will be getting the list here in a few days and can email it to you. we just need more people to join in to make the min, box order.
