Chaeto is a macro-algae that soaks up nitrates and makes a place for copepods to grow in you tank eventually becoming a food source for some of your fish.

I was actually thng of taking just a small peice of macro algae from my other tank and just out it in my display cause I don't have a sump what do you guys think about this I could have a planted look and give a more natural place for my eels to hide and or anything else

Sorry man. I'm on the complete opposite side of the country in CA.

Most likely that eel won't make it. If you have a separate tank, I would take the injured one out and put it in there. Are the guys completely hanging out or is there just a hole where you can see them?

What should I do euthanize it

Honestly I'm not sure. I've never had to do it before. Sorry. But I was just gonna say that if the guys aren't hanging out, there is a tiny chance that, in time, the wound may heal and the eel will live but that's if you separate it from the other and replace the live rock with PVC so that it can't scrape and make it worse.
