So what is it about big fishes that appeal to you?

I'm way burned out on monster fish.I skipped community tanks for the most part so I am going to use my Monster tank for a ]V[onster community!

I like the way the sim city comparison sounds.Sim city is my favorite game!:D

1) It's fun to watch them grow.
2) They tend to live longer.
3) I can't keep them in a small tank, now can I?

Small fish, Medium fish, and Big fish, then.....MONSTER fish! All are the same depends on what you like to keep I prefer bigger fish because it just catches my eye and they seem to come with lots of personality that will get me to watch them swim for hours!
Well put.

I like bigger fish because they are more fun to watch (personal opinion) they live longer, are really fun to watch grow from 1" to 1'.

Its my ability to care for the fish that drives me, no fish is out of question.

I do agree !

I have had all types of fish in the past and all sizes of tanks . Once all my tanks were full of tiny Tetra's , Barbs , Ect , full of of plants and stuff but now i am slowy moving onto the larger fish , like Oscars , Silver Awo' , Jag's , Ect . . .

and was thinking a couple months back to setup a small planted tank again with a bunch of Tetra's and other but im still in two minds over it .

I just love fish , not really bothered how big or even how small they are or if they are colourful or agressive or what ever . fish are fish i just love them . Big fish Little fish . . . Big tank or even small tank i just go for what i like and what i can fit into the tank . ( Of coase i think of how big they grow too and what they can go with , it's not like i would put my Silver Awo' in a 2foot tank for life , or put him with a load of small Tetras and Barbs . , . Would i ? ) .

You can never forget, when keeping very large fish you always have the option of sitting in your living room, on a lawn chair, drinking beer, and going fishing, even if you don't feel like going outside.

i just like fishkeeping... big or small i like them all...

not overly sure....i can tell u i no nothing about small fish though lol
i think its the wow factor. unfortunatly my pump broke down and killed my huge fish, apart from my 2ft plec and delhezi bichir.
so i restocked and then got a FH...big mistake, he killed everything including the 2ft plec.
but my biggest fish atm (although i have some big fish in the making, just babies atm) is my 2 sevs that are around 7" and people find those HUGE ....so cant wait till the others grow up.

I like the fact that larger fish are more "imposing" if you will. they have a sense of awe to them. If you walk into a house and see a little dog it's a cute little thing that no one minds. but if you walk into a house with a giant german shepherd (like I also have) you get a reaction. And that's what I want with my fish. see the fish then the tank.

and it just so happens the rare stuff i'm in to these days get BIG.
