That, and fish don't bark, meow, sing, beg or urinate/defecate on the bed. They don't chew shoes, books , sofa legs or corners. They don't do their claws on the curtains, arm-chairs or pants. I don't need to walk them or empty their smelly litter boxes. They don't sing their merry songs after a night out. They don't chew their way through the front door or tear up my cookie-bags when I go away for the weekend and the neighbours never complain.
I remember when I got my cat, a six-week-old kitten: I was asleep at 5 in the morning and woke up from this horrible stench. She siht all over herself and my face. Screw that!
Fish do need food and WCs. But I can do that when it pleases me. In many ways fish are like plants.
