For me, I love wathcing my fish, they all have unique personalities, and thats all we can have in the dorms, Plus the girlfriend loves em, she's getting hooked too, kind of neat i guess 
so what is it that makes fishkeeping so good?

i just like keeping fish.
its everything about them but my real passion is big fish and the reasons already posted above like watching them feeding then and growing them are what keep my interest.
i also like the learning and sharing knowledge part of it and forums like MFK are a big part of the whole fish experience for me.
