Hmmm, didn't realize that garters were actually fish. :D

Oooo... for me, i had bred a pair of fh during the fh craze in singapore and they produce hundreds of them. they guard their eggs like mad... fanning their eggs constantly to prevent fungal growing on it... noone go nears them!!!

Sad to say, i had to give all of them away, not one for myself as i do not have any more tanks left... even worse, during the craze, they are considered fortune fish, the fishes i gave away, few owners actually won lottery!!!

:swear:

Breeding fronts , Ps and Lamps are awesome :headbang2 . Breeding Ps ( i assume its Nattereri) is not very common , Serrasomething how ,long have u had the Ps and did you do anything special to induce them to spawn??

If i had all the time in the world , i would like to breed fish that needs a "season change" i.e simulating rainfall etc.. to induce them to spawn. That would be something different for me and a challenge too.

Season changes are easy to do for fish like giant dianos, just let a couple inches of water evaporate while slowly raising the tank temp a few degrees, then over a few days add back the water using water at the origional temp. and reset the heater to where it started. Works for bettas and weather loaches too.
