Had I known from the beginning that being a fish forum moderator was such a thankless task, I'd never have volunteered to do it in the first place. You'd be surprised at what nasty PMs you'll get from just enforcing the forum rules. The best part is being an integral piece of an online community, but you can do that without actually being staff and dealing with forum politics and dodging flak. :(
