I'm gonna get these tonight. thanks. Hope it works as well as you say.

I'm gonna seperate them tonight. Will give you guys update in a few days

thanks all, for all the input.

Make sure you treat them in a seperate container. Try to soak them for 3 hours at a time daily. Putting salt in the main tank is a good idea.

Shouldn't these turtles have only a few inches of water when because they should be able to get air without moving?

Soffties are great swimers. My young chinese softie realy enjoys swiming up and down in his tank. In my experience that is a myth and all soft shell turtles need a very hight water level in order behave and act normaly. In fact if you look at the natural habitat of most soffties you see that they live in deep rivers and ponds often with some water movement. They are also capable of making deep dives. This however doesant mean that you should put a quarter size baby in 2 foot of water. Good sence must be present at all times. They also need a good basking spot and UV ligth:)

on the contrary, these particular ones as well most softshells need deeper than few inches. they love swimming and will dive down to the bottom and feed right at the bottom. I've got them in about a foot of water. they seem to love it. I did little bit of research b4 buying them, just neglected the possible sickness and treatment part
