If go with a Cuban do a quick google search on them if you haven't already. Cichlid.aus maybe sign up to an Australia forum as well like ace forums and ask them where to go in aus. Otherwise just go on gumtree and search green terror or Cuban and I'm sure you'll find something there are plenty of local breeders around (=

The cubans look good, I might look into them.
Already checked gumtree but there wasn't much around here lol. Do you think a flowerhorn would be too big for the tank? Thanks for the help mate

You'll be able to find a sweet as green terror in Melbourne. I found this stunner in little old Adelaide and you guys have got way more shops than us. image.jpg

He looks even better now that his fins have healed almost fully from being beaten by his mrs during spawning. The fry are heaps bigger now too.

Looks awesome

The only amphilophus I would put in a 75 would be a lyonsi. Midas and red devils get too big for a 75 long haul.

My 2 favorites for a 75 are a male red tiger mota or a male red istlanum. All my male rtm's have been just as personable as my jag and fit nicely in a 75. Not too mention they're one of the nicest looking cichlids out there. If you can you can find one and be patient with growth a male istlanum won't dissapoint.

FYI on jags. I usually grow my favorites in a 75. A female might be good for life, but honestly I have never had a female make it to full grown. My males are good for about 1-1/2yrs then run out of space and would probably develope deformities if I left them in there.

I feel that Pyru made a good point, but I disagree a little, 48"×18" with no extra decor, just substrate is a good amount of room for a pretty long while. It would certainly be enough to convince you how amazing devils and midas are. I'd be willing to bet you'd end up buying it a 125 to watch it continue to flourish
