I would have bought 2 if they had more than this one in the shop, but he was the last. was careful on the way home, let him slowly alcimatise to the tank for about 2 hours, letting in water from my tank into the bag. The angels seemed quite intrested in him in the bag but no one bothered him in thank, even the bircher that will eat anything smaller than 2" in one bite lol.
Well sadly he stopped moving his gills this evening, was in my net kept at the top so the bircher didn't lunch on him. Quite sad really as I had been looking for some for ages and was hoping to grow him up to move in to my bigger tank in a few months. I just hope he wasn't poorly and has infected the rest of my tank.

I am so sorry .. please try to get another from your LFS..maybe he can order it.. i hope that he did not infect the rest of your tank too..but always use a small hospital tank for quarenteen of any new fish..just so nothing happens to any of your others.. it is so worth the trouble..you can get away with it here and there but sooner or later you will have trouble.. the odds are against you that a fish is okay ..until proven.. i have done it in the past myself but after i had a bout of ick ..i have never done it again..i won't buy another fish unless i have a tank waiting for it at home..but with this guy i would say it was stress.. they can eat one minute and die over night.. but you should also have a little tank for any of your fish as a hospital tank.. so you can treat them if need be.. because medicine should not be used to treat healthy fish.. and right now you would have to treat the whole tank if one of your fish became ill.. i know it is not always easy with money being tight but put it on the list of things to get.. and sorry again for your loss..you sound like such a caring person it makes me feel even worse for you..thanks.
