Now I feel stupid for trying to convince myself she wasn't pregnant. I guess I'm not ready for my girl to be all grown up :)

Seems like the pups will look good, haven't seen this combo before.

Guess I'll be buying egg crate to make a divider this weekend.

dang, if its her first litter, it looks like it'll be a big litter.3-4 pups for sure! congrats! those will be intresting hybrids!
 
I would agree she looks pregnant. When my hystrix was pregnant the first time she looked like your ray, but I only saw movement on one side and she had 2 pups.
 
Now I'm getting excited.. and a little nervous.


It is her first litter, so looking forward to see how many she has.

she is close IMO, be watching for the male showing interest in her, usually they will give birth at night, soon after lights go out.
 
I've been watching her like a madman the last couple days and see movement every once in a while, but can't tell if its the pups or her. Looking at her from the side when she's swimming up the glass you can really see her size better, seems like 3-4 pups is reasonable.

I'm glad my tank is a peaceful community tank, if the pups are born at night they should be OK til the morning when I can separate them.
