Arent Endlis too big since they are a lower jaw species ? Honestly I am looking for something that will spice up the upper levels of the tank since Bichirs are already at the bottom.

yes endlis are too big for the tank you want. Just stick with the upper jaws (minus ornate, weeksii, and teugelsi)

Ok will do ! Man I wish there was a way to get a Mokele Mbembe here... I dont know any sites with Worldwide shipping.

I’d hope the endli are temporary though…those guys get huge!
How big do you consider 'huge'?

You could always grow them out in your tank and sell/get a bigger tank when you need to if/when it does happen.

30 inches is pretty huge for a bichir.
I know 20 is gonna be much more common, but even then an 18 inch wide tank won’t be good long term.

It won't get there overnight though
True…that thought almost got me an ornate for a 55 once.
I think Egemen Egemen wants to keep them for life though.

Yeah for life is what I aim for. I prefer upper jaw species anyway . Mokele Mbembe is a dream species for me.

Hi, haven’t read the thread yet, but you can get most of the uppers in that. The main problem is how slow growing some are, and the fact it takes a while to find the ones you want (assuming they are rarer species and not Senegal’s/Delhezis).

The only Bichirs I saw at my LFS were Senegals Delhezi and Endlicheri . I dont know how to get my hands on rarer species.
