I was kind of freaking out for a little bit as I thought the male was actually a Mojave rattlesnake based on certain scales, but I'm thinking that those were just aberrant as everything else lines up for it being a western diamondback rattlesnake. However, I'm still going to get it double-checked just to be safe.

Ouch, I bet that certainly wasn't a pleasant experience. He is a very beautiful snake although I no longer have him.

Yep, they're all definitely C. atrox.

Here's my new Rio Fuerte beaded lizard (Heloderma horridum exasperatum). It was produced by a local breeder; I believe that the parents are from Horridum Angeli stock.

It's in shed by the way.

And what's a venomous reptile collection without an Elapid of some sort? Here's my new Cowle's coral cobra (Aspidelaps lubricus cowlesi). She was produced by the breeder that I got the hybrids & first copperhead from.

She's a feisty little one, but she certainly is great at posing for the camera!

Congrats on your new pick ups, they are very sweet indeed. I've been thinking about a Gila as my next purchase actually..

That's a very nice Aspidelaps, full of attitude as it should be. I very much want one myself! These things are really as 'cute' as venomous can get.

There's a guy near me that has a breeding group of Gila monsters that are almost to breeding size & age, so I'm hoping to get one in a few years. He sold a spare female at the show yesterday, and it went for way less than what you would expect from Internet pricing despite being a perfect female with tons of orange.

Ill help ryan out today :)
