Only seen a few other fish will do the quick tight circle.Gar jump and thrash around, but none of the ones I have seen spin fast in a circle like the wolf fish. I have never seen any other fish do that.

I read another thread that said you used a hunk of wolf fish to catch a black piranha... did you ever eat the wolf fish? I assume they might be kind of gamey, but, always curious, if you know what I mean...

Just be careful what you accept, many people will offer you protected fish species to eatI have eaten many of the fish down there while camping out (peacock bass, piranha, arowana, pacu, etc) and all of them were good. Piranha do have a lot of small bones that are annoying. My choice for eating personally is a 3lb or so peacock bass.
