Some more fishing pics (Jardini, Tarpon, Barr)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
barras look mint

Tarpon (indo-pacific). The ones in freshwater were much smaller than the ones we caught in salt in the past. Fresh, they averaged 1 to 1.5 ft. Ones in the salt averaged between 2.4 up to almost 4 ft. Anyone know the life cycle of tarpon? I'm guessing like barra, they breed in salt, make their way into fresh as juveniles, then enter saltwater again to breed?

Imagine a school of 20 of these in a tank!

This guy had a piece missing, encounter with something toothy when younger.

looks like a great week

Timpon those pics are amazing.. seeing those barramundi pics makes me want to go to chinatown and pick up a live one !

I would have thought the Freshwaters were juveniles and then they end up in estuaries/Brackish or in the sea eventually. nice catches again

looks like a great week

It was!:grinyes:

Although the fishing was way down on previous years due to bad weather and cold water (only 19 deg Celsius in patches).

Our best trip, we caught over 400 barra between 4 anglers in seven days (biggest was over 3.5 ft). Total number of species on that trip was 45. Only 19 on this trip.
