Some new fishies!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was kinda iffy on keeping more than one Ctenopoma 'cause I've heard that they will fight when they're full grown. If that's not the case, how many more could I put in there?
I'm still deciding on the African knives... not sure yet.
I have completely fallen in love with my oddballs! I don't know how I've gone this long without trying them!

I have 7 cteopoma acutirostre together they do good like dbcb314 said it's a dominance thing never anything to bad. They have been together for 2 to 3 years and some are 5 to 6 inches long.

easy...get some more of the smaller bichir species :D

I just picked up 2 more Bushfish and 1 more Senegal on Sunday and they are doing good! The first Bushfish I got a week ago never came out of hiding, but now that there are more Bushfish, he comes out and shows his beautiful face.
One of the Bichir's stomack looks a little lumpy and I'm not sure if something is wrong or if it's just from him stuffing his face. Anybody have experience with this?

It's probably from eating. I feed my fish f/d krill and my senegal eats it too and it makes a lump. Looks good though, any luck with a driftwood? You could maybe do a school of Congo tetras, they should be big enough to not get eaten.

HAven't had any luck with finding driftwood. I found a nice one on Craigslist, but the guy said, "There are 10 other people who want the whole setup, so whoever gets here first with cash in hand gets it" I wasn't feeling up to fighting 10 other people over a piece of driftwood! I'm still looking though!
